MondExpat
CFE health insurance plan for expats aged 30 and over who are not retired, reimbursing care anywhere in the world on the basis of French rates.
MondExpat Santé covers medical and hospital costs anywhere in the world, including during stays of less than three months in France, with benefits equivalent to those of French Social Security (Assurance Maladie): consultations, medication, lab tests, hospitalization, maternity care, dental care, emergency transport, vaccines. Membership, individual (solo) or family, requires no medical questionnaire and involves no waiting period if applied for before departure or within three months of settling abroad.
The quarterly premium follows an age-bracket schedule, unrelated to income. An optional “3 in 1” pack (daily allowances, disability, death benefit) can be added for employees and the self-employed. As with any CFE plan, the reimbursement remains calculated on French reference rates, regardless of the actual cost of care in the country of residence.
Example
A 42-year-old executive relocating with their family to Dubai on a local contract can take out MondExpat Santé Famille before departure, to avoid any waiting period on arrival.
