Status diagnostic: which scheme applies to you?

Three pieces of information — your situation, your destination country, and who needs to be insured — are enough to steer the diagnostic. No contact details are asked for before the result.

How this diagnostic works

The scheme that applies to you mostly depends on your status: seconded employee or locally hired expatriate, self-employed, retiree or student don’t have the same options for staying attached to French Social Security, nor the same local obligations. The diagnostic cross-references your situation, your country and the number of people to insure to point you towards the right family of solutions (CFE top-up, first-euro health insurance, or simple guidance if no product is distributed yet for your case).

This isn’t personalised advice: it’s a first orientation, based on general rules. A named advisor takes over for anything that depends on your precise situation (age, medical history, departure date).
